Rowan Plans Second Building at Temple, Texas Data Centre Campus

Jul 29, 2026 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

US data centre firm Rowan has filed plans to expand its Temple, Texas campus. The company is proposing AUS02 Building 2 at 1855 Bob White Road in Bell County. The $780 million project will deliver a 500,000 sq ft (46,451 sqm) single-storey facility.

Construction is scheduled from August 2026 to August 2027. Founded in 2021 by Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners and Birch Infrastructure, Rowan Digital Infrastructure is developing data centres across the US, including sites in Texas, Maryland, and Oregon. The company broke ground on the Bob White Road campus in January. The 700-acre site is expected to reach 300MW at full build-out, with the first building due online next year.

The project will be Rowan’s second facility in Temple. The company completed the Moriah Data Center in 2023, but after the tenant left in 2024, Rowan plans to repurpose the site as a warehouse. Earlier this year, Blackstone acquired a significant minority stake in Rowan.rowan_temple.width-358 (1).webp
