Developer Mudiita Infra is planning a 930-acre data centre development in Ransom Township, Pennsylvania. Its affiliate, Mudiita Land Venture, acquired 530 acres south of Ransom Road and west of South Keyser Avenue from KF Real Estate for $2.4 million, according to a deed filed with Lackawanna County on 20 July.
Mudiita Infra’s website says it plans to develop a 930-acre data centre campus in Lackawanna County, with construction carried out in phases and a planned capacity of 750MW. The company says the project will use battery energy storage systems (BESS) and solar infrastructure, without relying on gas power.
The Mudiita Group describes itself as a global business group with operations in the US, India, Singapore, and other markets. It is unclear whether the group or its affiliates have previously developed a data centre. Ransom Township is located in Lackawanna County, northeastern Pennsylvania. Earlier this year, the township rejected a zoning overlay request from developer Scranton Materials for a potential data centre project, citing incomplete information.
