Rack Centre Limited: Rack Centre expands footprint in Nigeria

Rack Centre is planning expansion in Lagos, Nigeria, with a new 12MW data center, in line with its wider West Africa expansion plan, where it is looking to increase its presence tenfold. 

Rack Centre LGS 2 will be based on a 20,000 sqm (215,280 sq ft) greenfield site, offering 3,240 sqm (34,875 sq ft) of lettable space, with a capacity of 13.5MW. This is along with its LGS1 data center, which has an IT load of 1.5MW.

Rack Centre’s COO, Ezekiel Egboye, said that the Lagos Campus data center has grown to be the largest carrier and cloud-neutral digital infrastructure hub in West Africa. Further, Egboye said that with this expansion, the company intends to further grow its ecosystem. Egboye also commented that the company is "delighted" to be part of the continent's ongoing digital transformation.
