QTS Dallas Fort Worth: QTS TO Expand its Fort Worth Data Center Campus in Texas

According to BizJournal, QTS wants to expand its Dallas-Fort Worth facility in Texas. The company filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to expand the data center campus located at 14100 Park Vista Blvd in Tarrant County. Per the first filing, the company is looking to invest $50 million to expand its existing data center to two-story buildings in a 15,680 square meters (168,770 square feet) project. QTS plans to start work on this in May 2022 and finish it in June 2023.
The second filing also shows that QTS plans to invest $100 million in the development of a two-story, 43,800 square meter (471,876 square foot) data center adjacent to the existing data center. The project will include offices, a data hall, and a generator yard. Work is scheduled to start and end in May 2022 and June 2023, respectively. Per the company’s website, the Dallas-Fort Worth campus sits on 53 acres of land. It also offers up to 263,000 square feet of data center space and 50MW of capacity. It can be expanded to 200MW upon full build-out.
