Prosoluce has begun work on a data center in Haute-Garonne, located in the Occitanie region in the southwest of France. Alongside an accompanying office building, the data center will be operational and ready for use in the summer of 2023. This new data center, projected to cost around €3 million ($3.25m), is the company's first fully-owned facility.
While described as a 'medium size' facility, Prosoluce has not yet released further specification details about the data center. Further to this, the company has also said that the facility will be 'as virtuous as possible.'
Speaking about the new facility, Cyril Gousse, president of Prosoluce: "It's one of the furthest points from Paris, in a safe zone for data. Saint-Gaudens is in the middle of networks and telecoms, which allows us to easily connect to existing infrastructures." Adding: "The climatic zone is also important, the temperature is reasonable - which makes it possible to moderate energy consumption".
