OrionStellar Colombo: Orion Stellar announces launch of new data center in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Orion Stellar has opened a new carrier-neutral colocation data center in Colombo, Sri Lanka, called OrionStellar Data Center. The facility is built to Tier-III standards. It also has 1.5MW of capacity with space for up to 200 racks and a PUE of 1.4. Orion Stellar was founded this year, and it is a joint venture between local telco Dialog Broadband and St. Anthony’s Property Developers. The new facility is located in Orion ICT Park in Colombo.

Chairman of Dialog Broadband, Rajendra Theagarajah, said launching the most power-efficient high-density data center in Sri Lanka is a phenomenal achievement. He added that it also shows a massive milestone in simplifying digital infrastructure hurdles for regional and local enterprises. Theagarajah also noted that the new data center would help increase the speed of conducting businesses on the island.
