Adani, EdgeConneX JV AdaniConneX begin operations at hyperscale data center in Chennai

AdaniConneX, the joint venture between EdgeConneX and Adani Enterprises, has launched its first data center in Chennai, Chennai 1 Data Center. Its first phase will reportedly offer 17MW and 33MW of IT load at full build-out.

“The wait is over! We proudly announce that our state-of-the-art Chennai 1 Data Center is Live!” the company said on LinkedIn in a post. 

EdgeConneX CMO Phillip Marangella, commented: “Our first site in India is now live in Chennai… lots more to come as we build out a national platform of premium data centers across all of India.” 

He added: “Fantastic collaboration between Adani Group and EdgeConneX to make this happen in such a short time. Congrats to all the teams involved and supporting the success of AdaniConneX.”

The company has said that a second building is planned for the future.

EdgeConneX has 90 sites in 54 regions.
