NorthC group acquires IP Exchange

The largest regional colocation provider in the Netherlands, NorthC, has completed the acquisition of Germany’s IP Exchange. The acquisition sees NorthC expand into Germany for the first time. With the acquisition, NorthC has two data centers in Munich and Nuremberg. The purchase price for the transaction is €44 million ($51.5m).

The two facilities NorthC acquired have a total floor space of 150,000 square feet (14,000 square meters). The facilities also have a combined 7MW capacity, and they are connected by redundant fiber. IP exchange will continue operating under its brand name. However, it would add the NorthC group company prefix. According to NorthC, the facilities it acquired in Germany can be expanded.

NorthC Datacenters has 31 sites in 7 regions.
