DATEV has acquired q.beyond’s Nuremberg data center. Earlier in June, q.beyond (formerly QSC) initially announced its intention to sell its colocation business in June 2021. It operates three data centers in Nuremberg and Munich through its wholly-owned subsidiary, IP Exchange GmbH. The Nuremberg data center is currently being managed by a different company, IP Colocation GmbH.
DATEV acquired 100% of IP Colocation GmbH, but the purchase price wasn’t revealed. Former CEO of QSC, Dr. Bernd Schlobohm, said that the Company is honored by the confidence DATEV has in its Housing and Hosting specialist IP Partner. q.beyond also says the sale of the IP colocation gives the Company enough room to maneuver for more acquisitions.
