NorthC Datacenters: NorthC Buys Netrics Data Centers

NorthC has announced the acquisition of Netrics’ data center business. Netrics is a Swiss company, making the transaction NorthC’s first move into Switzerland. The deal sees NorthC take over three data centers, two of which are in Münchenstein and the last one in Biel. The total floor space of the facilities is 140,000 square feet (13,000 square meters). In addition, the data centers have a total capacity of 7.5MW, with space for future expansion. The companies did not reveal the terms of the deal.
The CEO of NorthC, Alexandra Schless, said acquiring the three facilities is a significant step in the company’s European expansion strategy. She added that NorthC is happy to welcome Netric’s super-experienced team into its fold. Netrics also commented on the deal. The Swiss company said it is selling its data center unit to NorthC Group. However, it noted that it would continue expanding its consulting services and cloud offerings. Netrics currently occupies one Interxion data center and two Equinix facilities in Zurich.
