NcodiN, a French optical interposer startup, has closed a €3.5 million ($3.8m) funding round, with Elaia, Earlybird, and OVNI Capita amongst the investors as the company looks to improve chiplet-to-chiplet communications with optical interposer technology.
The company said the technology will enable “innovative ways for the on-chip convergence of electronics and photonics,” ultimately allowing for high-bandwidth, efficient, and low-latency data communications between chiplets.
“When I created NcodiN with my associates Bruno and Fabrice last year, we could not imagine how far we would have gone in such a short amount of time. This achievement is the result of our hard work, passion and commitment. And it is just the beginning,” Manegatti wrote in a post on LinkedIn. “With the capital raised, we are going to scale our R&D and product teams, develop our first product generation and start the pre-industrialization of our unique technology, to continue our journey towards its massive adoption within AI-dedicated processors.”
