Iron Mountain is reportedly expanding its Virginia data center campus. According to Inside Nova, a firm with the name KH Data Capital Development is applying to revise the condition of the industrial zoning on its 37-acre property off Wellington Road, which is between Manassas and Gainesville. KH Data Capital Development submitted a proposal in June to have 1.6 million square feet zoned for data center uses. The property is next to Iron Mountain’s Virginia campus.
KH Data Capital Development is listed as an Iron Mountain subsidiary with the SEC. Iron Mountain is also listed on the PWC project ePortal for KH as the payment contact. The data center buildings proposed by KH data capital are VA3, VA4, and VA5. These names fit the naming convention of the existing facilities on Iron Mountain’s Virginia campus.
