Iron Mountain has announced that it has signed a 20MW lease agreement with an existing Fortune 100 customer for its Va-2 data center in Manassas, Virginia. The new lease agreement now sees Iron Mountain sign leases of up to 44MW since the beginning of the year. The new lease will start in phases from mid-2022 to mid-2023. Iron Mountain says it expects the VA-2 data center to support 36MW, increasing the previous 30MW.
The executive vice president of and GM of Iron Mountain Data Centers, Mark Kidd, said the company continues to see massive demand from existing customers for its data center solutions. He added that the 20MW lease shows that Iron Mountains has what it takes to continue supporting customer demand.
