Google just bought a plot of land in Groningen province, the Netherlands, for €3 million ($3.5 million). The plot of land bought is the last one at the Hoogebrug Winschoten business park in the municipality of Oldambt. There are reports that Google is planning to build a data center on the piece of land.
Alderman Erich Wünker was excited about the purchase. He was quoted to have said, “The fact that an international company chooses Oldambt is good for economic development.” He further added that Google buying land at Oldambt can make other Companies want to do business there.
