Former Sungard data center is up for sale in New Jersey

Via RI Marketplace, Real estate firm Marcus & Millichap is offering 1008 Virgil Avenue in Ridgefield, a former Sungard data center field as up for sale via auction and bidding for this property is set to begin March 25, with $750,000 listed as a starting bid.

The listing reads, “The property was formerly occupied by a data center and offers potential owner users/investors the ability to acquire a free-standing building with significant value-add through lease up at long-term market rates. The Property is zoned OLR, Office Low Rise District, which offers favorable flexible zoning allowing for a variety of office/professional uses via adaptive reuse or repositioning.”

The sales brochure also notes, “The [data center] equipment, which has since been removed, sat on built-up floors with cooling equipment underneath. The flooring was removed in these areas to take out the equipment and these areas currently have rough floors.”
