Data Centre 220 has partnered with Xtreme Networks for greater data sovereignty in New Zealand. According to the two, the partnership will provide their customers with two geographically diverse locations within New Zealand while providing secure and reliable data storage and management offerings. This move is informed by an awareness that data sovereignty is an increasing priority for New Zealand enterprises.

Through the partnership, Data Centre 220 and Extreme Networks shared that companies will have access to two independent, locally owned and operated data centers in Auckland and Wellington, respectively and retain control and ownership over their data.

Dion Hallam, MD of Xtreme Networks, called the partnership "a no-brainer" for supporting businesses that require data sovereignty and geographic diversity.

Adding: "We are excited to offer our clients access to two world-class data centres that are locally owned and operated, and that provide the highest levels of security, reliability, and flexibility."

Meanwhile, Nick Leishman, General Manager of Data Centre 220, said: "We are proud to partner with Xtreme Networks to offer our clients a truly unique and valuable solution."

"Our two data centres complement each other perfectly, providing clients with unparalleled data sovereignty, geographic diversity, and disaster recovery capabilities," Leishman commented.

There are 20 data centers in New Zealand.
