Ascenty: Ascenty to expand footprint with plans for a new São Paulo datacenter

Ascenty is planning to expand its data center footprint following the purchasing of a 47,000 sqm (500,000 sq ft) parcel of land in Osasco, greater Sao Paulo.
The company hasn’t shared further details about the scale of its development plans on this site, and is currently in the planning stage. No construction start date has been shared.
The location at Osasco, hosts the regional Network Access Point, with direct access to an Internet exchange traffic point, further, it has high energy availability, a key requirement. The site is also positioned nearby another Ascenty data center, Sao Paulo 4, which is only recently operational.
Marcos Siqueira, Ascenty's VP of operations said that the company's goal is to "expand the operation" and meet the growing demand for data centers and "excellent" connectivity in the São Paulo region, especially for banks, investment funds, fintechs, and means of payment companies."
“Four of the five largest banks in Brazil already work with Ascenty, either in colocation or connectivity, and the financial sector one of the three growing fastest in the company," Siqueira added.
