A 100MW data center could be developed in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Stokes Inc said Silicon Foundation has acquired a 15-acre industrial site at 74 Warwood Avenue, formerly the Centre Foundry, to build a 60,000 sq ft (5,575 sqm) facility. Stokes will act as EPC contractor. The site has an active 10MW grid connection, with plans to scale up to 20–30MW and potentially a 100MW campus. It is unclear whether planning approval has been submitted.
A spokesperson for West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey said the state energy office has not received any applications for a data center in Warwood or Ohio County. Wheeling City Councilman Tony Assaro said the council has not been informed of any project at the former Centre Foundry site, though the city is seeking details from the new owners. Silicon Foundation said the project is still in development and declined to share further details when asked about planning approval.
Stokes has shared estimated timelines on LinkedIn, though it is unclear whether they refer to construction start or completion milestones.
For Phase 1, a 10MW modular data center system, the company cites Q4 2026 without specifying whether this marks groundbreaking or delivery. Phase 2 is similarly listed as Q4 2027.
Stokes says it has delivered several data centers and lists ongoing projects including a 12MW Compass Mining facility in Oklahoma, a 600MW site near Niagara Falls, New York, and a 6MW data center with BESS in Buchanan, Virginia. Silicon Foundation was founded in January 2026 by Val Holovach, an entrepreneur behind Hiveon, an automation and control platform for Bitcoin mining that shut down its mining pool on May 13, 2026.
