A former ethanol production facility in Hopewell, Virginia, located roughly 20 miles south of Richmond, is being evaluated for adaptive reuse into an edge data center.
Led by advisory firm Volterra Advisors, the proposed project would repurpose a brownfield site spanning 50,000 to 70,000 square feet, taking advantage of its existing industrial power and natural gas infrastructure to support cloud computing and high-density AI workloads.
