VivoPower has signed an agreement to acquire a data center in Mo i Rana, Norway, from Cowa and Lian Group, who previously operated the facility as a cryptocurrency mining site at a former ironworks plant. Originally built by Bitfury in 2018 for bitcoin mining operations in the Mo Industrial Park, the site was active until 2022 before transitioning under Cowa and Lian's management.

Powered by 100% renewable hydroelectric energy, VivoPower plans to repurpose it into a Sovereign AI Hub.
