VivoPower's Mo i Rana data center is an energized facility undergoing redevelopment within the Mo Industripark area of northern Norway. Originally developed by Bitfury for cryptocurrency computing and later operated by Cowa, the site was acquired by VivoPower in April 2026 through its acquisition of the underlying operating companies. VivoPower is replacing and adapting existing infrastructure for high-density computing workloads, with demolition, enabling works and construction of a new main building underway. The development benefits from established renewable hydroelectric power infrastructure and is being designed with potential waste-heat recovery for district heating and local industrial applications. Initial redevelopment is targeted for completion in 2027, with a further expansion phase planned thereafter.
