The Spaanse Polder accommodates approximately 600 companies. Many offices and warehouses are located in the area, including the famous Van Nelle Factory, a national monument in 1929. The Spaanse Kubus is easily accessible, located approximately two minutes from exit ‘Spaanse Polder’ on highway A20. The building has sufficient free parking space.
History
TCN purchased the Spaanse Kubus in 2006. The building at the time was mainly used as datacenter. A datacenter is a conditioned space to store, activate and connect ICT-equipment. Key elements for a successful datacenter are reliable power, cooling, connections and space. Other functions in the building included office and storage/warehouse. TCN refurbished the building and in 2011, the building’s façade was painted and the entrance was moved and renewed. In February 2012, TCN opened Atoomclub Rotterdam on the ground floor of the building.
