Texas Critical Data Centers (TCDC) is New Era Energy & Digital's flagship behind-the-meter AI/HPC data center campus on 438 acres in Ector County, near Odessa in the Permian Basin. Site History

Early 2025: Sharon AI and New Era Helium form the Texas Critical Data Centers (TCDC) joint venture and acquire a 235-acre site in Ector County through an agreement with Grow Odessa.
Oct 2025: TCDC selects EYP Mission Critical Facilities for full-scope engineering of the campus.
Dec 2025: New Era Energy & Digital signs a binding agreement to acquire Sharon AI's 50% interest for $70 million and completes a 203-acre land acquisition, expanding the campus to 438 acres and taking full ownership.
Jan 2026: New Era partners with Primary Digital Infrastructure to co-develop the campus.
Apr 2026: New Era signs a non-binding LOI to form a development and financing joint venture with Stream Data Centers, and secures project funding through an underwritten offering.

Historically an affiliate of Stream Realty Partners, in August 2025 Apollo-managed funds agreed to acquire a majority stake in the company, with closing expected in 2025 subject to approvals.

In August 2025, Apollo-managed funds agreed to acquire a majority stake in Stream Data Centers from Stream Realty Partners; the parties also committed new capital to Stream’s land fund targeting 650 MW of near-term capacity across campuses in metro Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas, with closing expected in 2025 subject to conditions.
In June 2024, Stream broke ground on its third San Antonio campus on 135 acres, planned for up to five buildings and approximately 200 MW of IT capacity at full build out.
In February 2019 and October 2020, Stream entered the Phoenix market by acquiring a 157-acre site in Goodyear anchored by a 418,000 square foot facility, then commissioned the Phoenix I building on that campus; plans call for more than 2 million square feet and an on-site APS substation designed for up to 350 MW.
