Sequitor Edge is developing a Tier 3 edge computing facility within the Black Hills Industrial Center in Rapid City, South Dakota. The greenfield project covers 10 acres with an initial 30,000 sq ft building on a 1-acre footprint, expandable to five data halls across 7 acres. The facility will operate at 2MW initially, scalable to 10MW, supplied by Black Hills Energy with no new grid infrastructure required. Cooling uses a closed-loop system with a one-time water fill of approximately 19,000 gallons. Construction is expected to begin in late summer 2026 with a 14-month build timeline targeting a 2027 opening.
Sequitor Edge redefines the data center industry by deploying geographically distributed Edge Data Centers outside major metropolitan areas. This strategy brings AI, cloud, and data processing closer to businesses, enabling clients to deliver faster, more reliable, and secure experiences.
The company complements its infrastructure with Expert Services for IT consulting and advanced AI Software and Services. Sequitor Edge helps organizations harness artificial intelligence—from predictive analytics to generative AI—to optimize operations and accelerate innovation.
Central to its offerings is Sequitor JanusAI, a next-generation platform that provides predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and real-time insights using machine learning and advanced data modeling.
