Rowan Digital Infrastructure
Rowan Digital Infrastructure has officially commenced construction on its hyperscale data center campus, known as "Project Temple," in Temple, Texas. Spanning approximately 700 acres along Bob White Road, the project represents a minimum investment of $700 million and is designed to support the intensive workloads of a major global technology company, particularly in the realms of cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
Expected to be operational by 2027, the facility will leverage existing power infrastructure through a partnership with Oncor to minimize the need for new transmission lines.
Beyond its technical capacity, the development is a significant economic driver for Central Texas, projected to create roughly 600 construction jobs and over 40 permanent positions while utilizing sustainable practices like water-efficient cooling and low-carbon building materials.
