QTS Data Centers is planning a large-scale hyperscale campus in Blakely, known as Project Blue Hole, located along Martha Berry Highway near Early County Airport. The development is in an early planning stage and was revealed through a Georgia Development of Regional Impact filing in 2026. At full buildout, the campus could span up to 12 million square feet across approximately nine data center buildings, supported by multiple on-site substations. The project is designed for long-term phased deployment, with full buildout anticipated by the mid-2030s.

QTS operates sites in the United States and in the Netherlands. The company expanded its footprint with acquisitions in Chicago and Princeton in 2014, added government and managed hosting capabilities with the Carpathia acquisition in 2015, and entered the Netherlands market in 2019. QTS became a public company in 2013 and was taken private in 2021.
