The Matrix Data Center Campus is a colossal, $18.7 billion hyperscale AI development by MSB Global Services currently rising in Sulphur Springs, Texas, 90 minutes east of Dallas. The project, which is planned to be one of North America's largest, is being developed in three major phases. Phase I construction began in February 2025, with the first building (using a Bloom Energy fuel cell microgrid) expected to be operational in Q4 2026. This will be followed by Phase II, which will focus on a geothermal microgrid, and the final Phase III, which is slated to be complete by 2029.
MSB Global chose the location for its public-private partnership, access to dual power providers, and reduced permitting friction, aiming for a "net-zero" strategy.
