Amazon is developing a new campus for Morrow County, Oregon, located just southwest of the Tri-Cities. Known as project "PDX 154," the development plans include four primary data center buildings totaling approximately 816,000 square feet on a site east of the Boardman Airport.
To support its high-density computing operations, the campus will feature significant infrastructure, including an 8-acre stormwater evaporation pond, a 7,260-square-foot industrial water building, and specialized wastewater systems. This project is part of a broader multi-billion dollar regional investment by Amazon, which includes a separate $5 billion data center campus in nearby Wallula Gap and a partnership to develop small modular nuclear reactors to provide the carbon-free energy required to power its growing cloud and AI demands.
