Gray Wolf's Bristol Data Center will leverage behind-the-meter power, operating independently of the electrical grid. This will be achieved through on-site natural gas-powered solid oxide fuel cells or linear generators, for which the necessary state regulatory approvals have already been secured.

These sustainable technologies are designed to transition to biofuel, renewable natural gas, or hydrogen when available, though such fuels are not currently accessible in Connecticut. Classified as Class 1 Renewable, this approach will address the region’s constrained grid, with no plans for grid connection upon completion.
