Originally permitted as Project Jade, this $50 billion development near Cheyenne, Wyoming, was reflagged as Project Tembo after Google took direct control of the project from developer Crusoe through its subsidiary, Jupiter Star Holdings, LLC.
Spanning 716 acres in the Switchgrass Industrial Park, the campus will feature four large-scale data halls, an office hub, and logistics facilities targeted for completion by 2031. To power the site, Google is leveraging local utility provider Black Hills Energy alongside a dedicated bring-your-own-power (BYOP) generation hub constructed by Tallgrass Energy.
