Global Data Centre Sdn. Bhd. (GDC), a subsidiary of Global Telecommunications Sdn. Bhd., is set to be the first customer of major data center park in Sarawak, Malaysia.
Singaporean engineering firm Cyclect Group and Malaysian conglomerate TSG Group have formed FutureData Sdn Bhd to develop a major data center park in Sarawak, Malaysia. The consortium, established in June 2023, will build the campus on a build-to-suit model. Construction will begin in Q2 2025, with the first data center expected to be operational by 2026.
In an investment valued at $130 million, Global Telecommunications Group is set to be the first customer at the site.
