Vodafone and UAE-based data center firm Edgnex are collaborating to construct a new facility in Turkey. The companies have established a joint venture to develop a $100 million data center in Izmir, a city situated on the western coast of Turkey along the Aegean Sea. Designed to Tier III standards, the carrier-neutral facility will initially provide 13,500 square meters (145,310 square feet) of space.

Overview:
Edgnex Data Centers by DAMAC is a privately held digital infrastructure platform owned by DAMAC Group that develops and operates data centers across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The company was established in 2021 and has announced expansions including a 20 MW campus in Bangkok, a 40 MW site in Madrid, and a joint venture in Greece with a 12.5 MW first phase at Spata. In 2025 it disclosed a $2.3 billion, 144 MW AI focused project in Jakarta and plans to enter the United States market with a large scale build program. In April 2025 it acquired Finland founded developer Hyperco to support growth in the Nordics.
