CDC Data Centres is exploring an ambitious AU$15 billion (US$10.4 billion) plan to develop a gigawatt-scale campus in Gregadoo, on the southeastern fringe of Wagga Wagga in regional New South Wales.
Proposed for a 103.4-hectare site at 216 Ashfords Road, roughly 1.3 kilometers from TransGrid’s Wagga Terminal Station, the master plan envisions up to four single-story data centers totaling 189,325 square meters, supported by two on-site substations.
To balance high-density compute with regional resource constraints, the phased design incorporates closed-loop cooling to sharply reduce water consumption, 13 MW of rooftop solar arrays, and 384 backup diesel generators.
