The Pau data center is a public "proximity" data center under construction near the Centre Technique Municipal in Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques of southwestern France. Owned by the Communauté d'Agglomération Pau Béarn Pyrénées and operated under concession by Axione through its La Fibre Paloise vehicle, it is designed to host administrative data, backups, supervision tools, municipal digital services, video-protection, and IoT platforms for local public bodies and regional partners. Built to Tier III standards with free cooling, hot-aisle containment, high-efficiency UPS systems, low-water-use closed-loop cooling, and ANSSI-aligned security, the facility replaces an aging server room and is intended to keep sensitive data stored and controlled locally.

The Communauté d'Agglomération Pau Béarn Pyrénées (CAPBP) is a public inter-municipal cooperation body in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department of southwestern France, bringing together 31 communes in and around the city of Pau. As a French agglomeration community, it delivers pooled public services across its member communes and has been active in territorial digital development for more than twenty years, having helped establish some of Europe's earliest public fiber-optic networks for local residents and businesses. Its broadband initiatives ultimately brought fiber coverage to the entire core agglomeration, forming the foundation of its longstanding public digital-infrastructure strategy.
