Site History

January and May 2026: BUZZ HPC closed the purchase of two parcels, about 21 acres for CA$46 million and an adjacent 4 acres for CA$12 million.
May 2026: HIVE announced a CA$3.5 billion sovereign AI campus on the site, targeting service in the second half of 2027.
August 2026: Oakville passed a one-year interim control by-law pausing data centre approvals on employment lands while it studies the use. No development application has been filed.
