A new data center is planned for an unnamed "northern industrial park" near Butzbach, Germany, located roughly 35 km (22 miles) north of the major Frankfurt hub. The project will be built on a 30,000 sqm (323,000 sq ft) plot of land, with construction expected to kick off within few years.
Development will launch in phases, starting with an initial power phase that can expand as demand scales to meet the site's full capacity. While specific developers and end-users remain undisclosed, the town of Butzbach is already in advanced discussions with investors, and energy company RheinEnergie is locked in as a key partner.
