Etix Blönduós, an HPC & Blockchain data center campus, was completed in March 2019. Using modular construction, the campus was operational within 3 months and fully delivered in 9 months. The design allows for efficient expansion of IT facilities. The site includes 12,500 m2 of reserved space for additional data centers to accommodate future growth.

Operating Company

Originally founded in 2014, Borealis was acquired by Etix Everywhere in 2018. French investment fund Vauban Infrastructure Partners acquired a majority stake in Borealis Data Center in July 2021. The company operates three sites in Iceland; one in Reykjavík, one in Blönduós, and one in Fitjar in Reykjanesbær.
