Bitdeer’s Fox Creek Campus is a 19-acre digital infrastructure project scheduled to energize in Q2 2027.
Located in the Municipal District of Greenview No. 16, Alberta, the facility was acquired as a fully permitted site from Kiwetinohk Energy and operates under the province's "bring-your-own-generation" framework. This setup couples an on-site natural gas power plant directly with the data center to run "behind the fence" without drawing operational electricity from the local grid.
While the campus will initially host Bitcoin mining workloads, it is engineered with a closed-loop dry-cooling system designed to pivot into high-performance computing and AI applications. Additionally, the site maintains a physical interconnect to the AESO grid, providing the operational flexibility to curtail computing operations and feed power back into the electricity system during periods of peak regional demand.
