July 2025: Saint John council approved the Spruce Lake Industrial Park rezoning.

August 2025: the province approved the industrial park expansion's environmental assessment with conditions.

October 2025: the project was made public, and area residents applied for a judicial review of the rezoning.

April 2026: the proponents registered the data centre for a provincial environmental impact assessment.

August 2026: residents asked the federal government to designate the project for a federal impact assessment.

September 2026: the Court of King's Bench heard the judicial review.
