Nordic data center provider atNorth has acquired a 36-hectare site within the Haugaland Business Park in Norway to develop its first facility in the country, named NOR01.
The project establishes the company's operational presence across all Nordic nations and is designed to accommodate hyperscale and high-density artificial intelligence infrastructure. Power delivery is projected for 2028, supported by the planned construction of two new substations by grid operators Statnett and Fagne. The facility intends to utilize Norway's renewable energy grid and cool climate to reduce cooling energy demands, while atNorth and local municipal stakeholders are exploring potential heat reuse applications within the business park.
