Amazon Data Services UK Limited has filed plans to develop a new tape library data center at Plot 3, Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire (HP2 4FQ), outside London. The project covers a 0.6-hectare (1.48-acre) site and involves construction of a two-story, 1,935 sqm (20,840 sq ft) facility. The application was validated in February 2026 and is currently in the planning stage.
