Amazon seeks to build a new data center campus on 313 acres along Flippo Drive, east of I-95. The company has received rezoning approval in October, 2023. The Carter's Store Tech Campus plan envisions the construction of 2.6 million square feet of data center facilities on the site, with development projected through 2035.
Phase 1 would include up to 900,000 square feet. Construction is expected to start from July 2027.
The property comprises a mix of wooded areas and open spaces, including wetlands. It is surrounded by vacant land, businesses, the Lancaster Gates residential neighborhood, and the site of the proposed Summit Crossing Tech campus.
