Comanche Circle is a proposed data center park in southern Hood County, Texas, between Paluxy Highway (FM 51) and Hill City Highway (FM 56), about 7 miles southeast of Tolar. Its south edge reaches the Somervell County line near Dinosaur Valley State Park. Vistra's Comanche Peak nuclear plant lies about 5 miles east.

Land and plan. Sailfish Investors filed the concept plan through Sailfish Investors Acquisitions LLC in December 2025. It covers 2,101.565 acres in three surveyed ranch tracts of 721, 969 and 411 acres. The 2026 Hood County tax roll still lists the ranch owners. The plan shows 45 buildings of about 300,000 sq ft in three clusters. It reserves three 81-acre areas for on-site generation and a 10-acre bridge-power area. A private wastewater plant and on-site groundwater wells would serve the park.

Power infrastructure. Oncor's Comanche Switch to Comanche Peak 345 kV circuit crosses the site. Oncor plans its Dinosaur 765 kV switching station about 3 miles north of Glen Rose. NRG Tolar Power LLC queued a 1,252 MW gas-fired combined-cycle plant on the site in ERCOT (29INR0180), tapping that circuit. NRG withdrew the plant's TCEQ air permit application on June 18, 2026.

Timeline. Sailfish Digital Ventures announced Comanche Circle in January 2025 as a 2,600-acre, nine-campus park. Hood County approved the concept plan with conditions in January 2026 and without conditions in June 2026. Two county moratorium votes failed in February 2026. In August 2026, Sailfish committed the project to Governor Abbott's data center standards and the ERCOT audit. On October 13, 2026, commissioners rejected a settlement that would have cut the Hood County footprint from about 2,523 to 1,375 acres. They also denied Sailfish's appeal on its on-site permit applications, and Sailfish said it would go to court.

Projects Lion and Panther. Sailfish affiliate Panther Generation LLC filed two more concept plans in March 2026, on ranch tracts between the Comanche Circle tracts. Project Panther covers 300 acres off FM 51 with four data halls. Project Lion covers 121 acres off Hill City Highway with two data halls. Each relies on an on-site well and septic system. The county never voted on either plan and denied their on-site permits along with Comanche Circle's.
