Project Hackman is a planned Prologis data center campus on about 574 acres at the I-74 and State Road 44 interchange (Exit 116), on the east side of Shelbyville, Indiana, about 30 miles southeast of Indianapolis.

Land. The site combines 138 acres of the city's former industrial park with 429 acres of farmland. The Shelbyville Redevelopment Commission bought the park in 2018 after Krone cancelled a planned plant there. LORM, LLC and one other owner hold the farmland. Prologis subsidiary PPINV, LLC holds purchase agreements on both.

Approvals. In January 2026 the Plan Commission gave the annexation and General Industrial rezoning an unfavorable recommendation. The Common Council approved both 4-2-1 on April 6, 2026, together with an economic development agreement. The agreement caps the campus at 11 data center buildings in about three phases, with at least $2 billion of investment. Shelby Superior Court 2 upheld the annexation and rezoning in July 2026.

Infrastructure. Two Duke Energy Indiana transmission lines, built for the cancelled Krone plant, cross the property. RushShelby Energy and its wholesale supplier Hoosier Energy completed two feasibility studies, and Prologis pays all transmission, distribution, energy and capacity costs. The concept plan reserves an on-site utility substation. Indiana American Water has a main to the site, and the buildings use closed-loop cooling.

Tenant. Prologis plans to build for hyperscale or AI tenants. No tenant has been named.
