In 2025, Meta Platforms (formerly known as Facebook) launched a data center campus in Kansas City, Missouri, located at 801 NW 128th Street.
The construction of the campus began in 2022, and while the facility was expected to become operational during 2024, it faced some legal issues regarding utility work. The project represents a $1 billion investment.
- In 2022, Meta acquired more than 500 acres of land in Golden Plains Technology Park in Kansas City, Missouri.
