Meta is constructing a data center campus in El Paso near the Texas-New Mexico state line, utilizing an updated AI-first architectural design.
The company initially acquired more than a thousand acres of city-owned land in Northeast El Paso for $8.5 million in 2023 through its development entity, Wurldwide LLC. While initial phases were estimated at $1.5 billion, the long-term master plan has expanded into a multi-phase, $10 billion-plus mega-campus backed by a $13 billion single-site financing package to fund infrastructure buildout through 2029.
The overall campus footprint is engineered to feature 12 linear data center buildings.
