Data Center Campus
The Equinix Minooka Data Center is a large-scale infrastructure project spanning approximately 300 acres of former farmland near Ridge and Holt Roads in Grundy County, Illinois.
The master plan for the campus includes approximately seven buildings totaling over 1.1 million square feet, designed with a focus on AI-ready infrastructure. To address local concerns regarding environmental impact, the facility will utilize an advanced air-cooled design featuring a closed-loop system, significantly reducing water consumption. With main vertical construction slated to begin in 2027 and full commissioning expected by 2031, the development represents a multi-billion dollar investment that is projected to generate substantial annual tax revenue for the Village of Minooka.
