Digital Realty's Profile Park campus sits on the south side of Nangor Road (R134) in Kilcarbery, Clondalkin, inside the Profile Park business park and next to Grange Castle Business Park, about 20 minutes west of Dublin city centre.

  • Land: Digital Realty bought a roughly 10-acre (4.04 ha) greenfield site and won South Dublin County Council permission in 2011 for four buildings (SD11A/0023, amended SD12A/0002 and SD17A/0377). In April 2022 it bought adjoining land for an expansion. The Irish holding entity is Digital Netherlands VIII B.V.
  • Power and fibre: 10.75 kV supply from the existing 110 kV substation in Grange Castle Business Park over dual 10 MVA radial feeds. Diverse fibre enters from Nangor Road and Baldonnell Road onto Dublin's T50 ring, with two meet-me rooms.
  • Design: indirect air-to-air adiabatic cooling with no mechanical refrigeration. In 2014 it was the first Irish data centre with an Uptime Tier III design certification. BREEAM Excellent.
  • Expansion: in 2021 Digital Realty applied for two two-storey buildings (DUB15, DUB16) with an on-site gas generation compound of five gas engines (12.5 MW installed), later replaced by a grid-connection proposal. The council granted permission in August 2022. An Bord Pleanala refused it in February 2024, citing grid constraints and the lack of a fixed grid connection agreement.
  • Neighbours: Greener Ideas' gas-fired Profile Park peaking plant stands directly north of the campus. Digital Realty consented as landowner to that plant's Baldonnell 110 kV grid connection.
