Csquare's SFO4 campus sits on Space Park Drive in Santa Clara's Comstock Street data center cluster, minutes from San Jose International Airport. It covers two parcels (APNs 224-08-151 and 224-08-152, about 4 acres).

Ownership history

  • 2007-2008: Digital Realty bought 1500 Space Park Drive and retrofitted it as a turnkey data center for Savvis, which earned LEED Gold in 2009. It bought the neighboring 1550 lot in 2008 and marketed it as a build-to-suit site.
  • 2017: Savvis's colocation business passed to Cyxtera with CenturyLink's data center sale.
  • 2021: Digital Core REIT took a 90% interest in 1500 Space Park at its IPO. Cyxtera began a custom buildout for an anchor customer at 1550 the same year.
  • 2023-2024: In Cyxtera's bankruptcy, Brookfield took over the 1500 Space Park lease. Csquare now owns 1550 Space Park and leases 1500 from Digital Core REIT.

Infrastructure

  • Utility: Silicon Valley Power, the City of Santa Clara's municipal utility.
  • Standby power: diesel generators. Csquare lists 20.5 MW of generator capacity.
  • Cooling: chilled water.
  • Certifications: LEED Gold (1500 Space Park), ENERGY STAR, SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, PCI-DSS, NIST 800-53 PE High and ISO 27001.
