Data Center Campus
CloudHQ's KIX campus in Cosmosquare, Nanko Kita, Osaka, where CloudHQ fits out and operates ESR Group's data center buildings under a joint venture. First operated in 2025, with expansions planned through 2030.
CloudHQ's KIX campus sits in Cosmosquare, Nanko Kita, Suminoe-ku, on Osaka Bay's Sakishima island. It is under 10 km from the core internet and telecom exchanges of central Osaka.
Joint venture. In January 2025 CloudHQ joined ESR Group to jointly build, fit out and operate ESR's Cosmosquare campus. ESR owns the land and the buildings. CloudHQ markets and operates them as KIX1, KIX2 and KIX3.
Buildings. KIX1 occupies ESR's OS1 building, which ESR completed in 2024. KIX2 is planned in ESR's OS2 on the same parcel. KIX3 is planned in ESR's OS3, which redevelops the IBM Japan Osaka Nanko building on the west side of the campus.
Certification. OS1 holds LEED v4 BD+C: Data Centers Gold certification, awarded to CloudHQ and ESR in 2025.
