Edge Centres has acquired a data center facility in Reston, Virginia. According to the company, the newly-acquired carrier hotel establishment, renamed EC104, features 1MW of scalability and 20 individual carriers. The data center is at 11513 Sunset Hills Road in Fairfax County, although the company did not disclose the exact location. Formerly a Switch & Data facility, the 15,250-square-foot data center is now a data center. After Equinix acquired Switch & Data, the site was one of sixteen sold to 365 Data Centers in 2012. Since about 2007, MSP InfoRelay has been a tenant at the location, which it later purchased in 2015. The following year, InfoRelay amalgamated with Atlantic Metro Communications, which was subsequently bought by 365 in 2020, despite the fact that only a single facility in Herndon was mentioned in the announcement.

In April 2022, Australian company Edge Centres announced intentions to expand into the United States and raised $5.7 million for its US rollout. Point of Presence (PoP) has been installed in CoreSite's One Wilshire carrier hotel data center in Los Angeles, California. It opened a facility in St. Louis, Missouri, and acquired a second in Columbia, Missouri, just recently. Additionally, a facility has been established in Los Angeles, California.

Edge Centers stated that it intends to have 20 facilities in the United States within the next three years and is reviewing possible additions to its New Jersey portfolio. On its website, Detroit, Michigan, is indicated as a future location in the US. The company has previously stated that Portland, Oregon and Dallas, Texas are planned for rollouts.
